Urban Wood Production

We mill and kiln-dry our urban wood to create the quality dimensional lumber and live-edge slabs that are available for purchase at the Urban Wood Lab Store. Logs enter the process at the facility we share with Hoppe Tree Service in Grafton, Wisconsin. There, we have a large quantity of wood in dry storage, our sawmill, and our largest kiln. We also have a second kiln onsite at the Urban Wood Lab Store in Caledonia. Depending on the species of tree, it can take eight to twelve months or more for the full production cycle from tree to urban wood.
